Why Choose Dekton?

Dekton Surfaces Have Some Great Properties

1

Fireproof and High-Heat Resistant

Ideal for creative cooks who love to flame-grill or blow-torch their dishes, as well as outdoor BBQs and firepits. This property also has a practical everyday benefit – you can put down hot pans, utensils and food directly onto the worktop without worrying about thermal shock damage or marking.
2

Incredibly Stain-Resistant

Stains and spills are an almost everyday occurrence in the kitchen – so you need a work surface that can withstand daily wear and tear. Due to its high density and non-porosity, Dekton features built-in protection against common culprits such as ketchup, red wine, lemon, soy sauce and even glue or paint.
3

Super Scratch-Resistant

Common hazards for kitchen counters such as knives, pans, appliances and crockery are all effortlessly handled by Dekton. Again, its exceptionally high density makes it almost impossible to scratch, offering enhanced resistance against chips, cracks and dents, too. You don’t even need to use a chopping board (although of course, we recommend that you do!)
4

Natural and Beautiful Finish

Dekton is made from natural raw materials, imparting a matte-sheen, luxurious texture and feel. Because Dekton is man-made the options in terms of colours, textures and finishes are also much greater than those available for natural stone.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Dekton?

Dekton is an ultracompact material made using a proprietary blend of natural quartz, porcelain and glass. It’s a technology at the forefront of worktop innovation and design, providing an ultra-high-performance surface with endless possibilities in terms of design and cutting-edge features which extend its lifespan and make everyday use easy and hassle-free.

To create Dekton, these raw natural materials are fused and compressed under high pressure resulting in a high-density, compact and ultra-thin material. This allows greater flexibility when applying and installing Dekton in the home, with hundreds of beautiful colours and finishes available to suit all tastes and interior design palettes.

Is Dekton Better Than Quartz?

Dekton is essentially a type of man-made Quartz – and whilst Quartz itself is incredibly tough and durable, Dekton takes this to another level. It is even strong enough to be used as flooring and exterior applications – demonstrating just how resilient and damage-resistant this material really is.

Does Dekton Chip Or Stain Easily?

No – Dekton is possibly the most chip, scratch and stain-resistant worktop material currently on the market. Innovative in-built technology ensures that common concerns such as food and oil stains, water or heat damage, scratches, chips and dents.

Is Dekton More Expensive Than Granite?

Yes – on average a Dekton worktop will cost around £20-30 more per square metre than Granite. The exact cost however and difference will depend on your specific requirements, desired finish and the size of your space.

How Do I Clean Dekton?

Dekton work surfaces are very easy to maintain. Simply use a cloth with warm water to wipe your worktops on a regular basis – cleaning at intervals with a soft, non-abrasive sponge and soapy water or a pH-balanced general-purpose cleaning product. Although Dekton is stain resistant it’s always best to clean up any spills as soon as they occur.
